A Perky Pairing: Coffee and Chocolate
In this fun, educational 1 hour workshop, participants will hear about the health benefits of both dark chocolate and coffee, and where they come from.
We will pair coffee provided with different chocolate varieties throughout the class. Each person will receive a coffee-chocolate tasting wheel to help throughout the tasting.
The interesting history of both coffee and chocolate and its pioneers will be discussed. How the cacao bean and the coffee bean transform into chocolate and coffee respectively is also highlighted, as well as exploring a variety of brewing methods.

We’ll discuss coffee’s timeline, how coffee is “taken” around the globe, the very first Baristas and much more. We wrap up the class with a fun, interactive quiz!
A Pleasant Pairing: Tea and Chocolate
In this fun, educational 1 hour workshop, participants will hear about the health benefits of both dark chocolate and quality teas, along with ways to incorporate them into their lifestyle.
We will pair three teas with three different varieties of chocolate throughout the class. Each person will receive a tea aroma tasting wheel to help with the tasting.
The history of both tea and chocolate and its pioneers will be discussed. How the cacao bean and the tea leaf transform into chocolate and tea respectively is also highlighted.
We’ll discuss how to create a “proper cuppa”, and note the tenets of the Japanese Tea ceremony and the Chinese Gongfu Cha ceremony. We wrap up the class with a fun, interactive quiz and answer any remaining questions. *For in-person programs, a cheese sampler can be added for an additional cost.

A Perfect Pairing: Wine and Chocolate
A fun educational 1 hr. program highlighting the history and health benefits of dark chocolate and wine,
along with insights from my commercial chocolatier background.
A cheeseboard primer, wine bottle display, chocolate pairings, and interactive trivia are included. For in-person programs, a cheese sampler may be added at an additional cost. Wine is purchased by facility/library and samplings are in sample 2 oz. pour cups.
